TEDx Milpitas 2025
Directed the creative vision and content strategy for TEDx Milpitas, bridging the gap between high-level branding and impactful storytelling. I led a design team to build the event’s visual DNA while simultaneously coaching speakers to transform complex ideas into world-class presentations.

Context
TEDx Milpitas is a platform dedicated to "ideas worth spreading" within a diverse, tech-centric community. As both the Lead Designer and Curator, I was responsible for the dual pillars of the event: the visual identity that attracted the audience and the narrative strategy that defined the stage.
Problem
The event faced a two-fold challenge:
Brand Dilution: Deliver a cohesive visual "voice," making the event feel like a series of disconnected speeches rather than a unified experience.
Content Complexity: Potential speakers had brilliant technical ideas but struggled to translate them into the "TED style", emotionally resonant, accessible, and concise narratives
Solution
bridged the gap between aesthetics and storytelling through a two-pronged leadership approach:
Design Leadership: I managed a team of 4 volunteers to build a scalable design system. We developed a visual language based on the event theme, applying it across social media, stage scenography, and digital programs.
Content Curation: I acted as a creative director for the speakers. I implemented a rigorous selection process and a 1-on-1 mentorship cycle, helping speakers refine their core messages and "hook" while ensuring the lineup met TED’s global standards.

Impact
The event was a great success and sold out.
